| 4C's of Diamonds - Clarity | | | Diamond clarity refers to the lack of marks found either inside the stone or on the surface of the stone. Surprisingly, internal inclusions and external blemishes have little to no effect on the way a diamond sparkles. | | | | | | | | FL-IF | VVS1-S2 | VS1 | VS2 | SI1 | SI2 | SI3 | I1 | I2-3 | | | | Slightly Included. Any internal flaws or external blemishes would be easy to spot under 10x magnification in diamonds of this clarity grading. This grading does offer diamonds at excellent value. | | | reasons: one, to assess the value of each stone, and two, to ensure the quality meets our highest standards. When selecting your diamond, look at several stones with different grades of clarity and compare their appearance. Select the one that looks best to you. Clarity is also very much based on personal preference since it does not affect the brilliance of a diamond. If you don't mind a minor inclusion, others are not likely to notice. However, it should be noted that lower clarity is best suited for earrings and necklaces where inspection isn't quite as intense. Everyone will ask to see your ring, but few will invade your personal space to carefully inspect your earrings or necklace. | |
